How do we design pots to best fit their intended purposes? How do we merge design and functional considerations in order to make vessels that are fully realized through use, while simultaneously holding their own even when empty on the shelf? This two-session (14 instruction weeks) class will address these questions through an exploration in designing and constructing vessels for floral arrangement. Students of all levels can come and learn basic wheel and hand building techniques with a focus on creating their own flower vases. Sketching, discussions, a local field trip, and in-class arrangement with live flowers will be included.

Please note- students must be able to commit to all 14 weeks in order to attend.
