Carbondale Clay Center invites you to experience the magic of Raku firing, a dramatic and fastpaced ceramic firing process where glowing hot pieces are  pulled from the kiln and transformed before your eyes.

Bring your own bisque-fired work or purchase a ready-made pot on site, glaze it with our team, and watch the flames do the rest!  Whether you’re a firsttimer, a seasoned ceramicist, or just curious, this is your  chance to take part in one of clay’s exciting traditions.
