Carbondale Arts and the Carbondale Clay Center are hosting 3 days of opportunity to engage in building pots for the Latino Folk Art Garden. The Latino Folk Art Garden is a park along the Rio Grande Art Walk which will have gardens, gathering spaces, mosaics, hammocks and more. Come alone, or bring your family, and help us create big clay planter pots that will live in the garden!
The planters will be painted in Latino Folk Art Style and brightly colored annuals and pepper plants will be planted in them. There is no fee to participate and the friendship and fun that develops from our cultures coming together to create public art will last a lifetime. Horchata and snacks will be provided.
The event will be taking place on April 13th, April 14th and April 15th from 1 -3 PM at the Carbondale Clay Center, 135 Main St.
