K Rhynus Cesark  July 31st 2010/ Decal Workshop Do you want to include photographic imagery or other printed imagery or drawings into your clay work easily?……..if so, please join K for an information packed demonstration focusing on incorporating decal images into your work. Commercial and laser printer made decals will be demonstrated. K will give a Powerpoint presentation on current and historical ceramic work that incorporates decals and other printed imagery. Lusters and china paint will also be demonstrated. Some basic Photoshop techniques will be reviewed. Tuition: Members-Free, Non-Members-$20 Workshop: 10am-2pm

 

 Diane Kenney  Sept  /Oct 2010 Wood-Fired Workshop Diane will share her knowledge of the wood-fire process from beginning...designing the pot, to the end...unloading the kiln. She will discuss glaze techniques for wood-kilns, preparing work for firing and prepping and firing the kiln. Because you will work from the greenware stage to the firing stage, this workshop will take place over 2 weekends. Tuition: Members- $150 , Non-Members- $175 Workshop: 10am-5pm





Jake Allee  April 10th 2010/ Wheel Thrown and Altered Forms/ Demo Workshop Jake is the Head of Ceramics at Mesa State in Grand Junction. He will show his unique style of combining wheel throwing and altering to create his work. He also has a show in the Gallery that will open Friday April 9th 6pm. This will be a great learning experience for everyone, all levels of skill. Tuition: $30.00  Workshop Hours: 10am-5pm

Kelly McKibben October 17th & 18th 2009  / Screenprinting on Clay / Hands-on & Demo Workshop
Kelly McKibben will lead a two-day workshop covering techniques for image transfer on clay using a screenprinting process.  Participants will learn how to use light sensitive emulsion, shoot an image onto a screen, and various ways screenprinting can be utilized with clay.  Kelly McKibben is CCC’s Resident Artist & Studio Technician.  She holds an MFA from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale IL.  www.kellymckibben.com Tuition: $100.  Workshop Hours:  9a-4p daily.  Registration deadline: October 5th 2009.

Payment in full is due by registration deadline. Refunds less 10% processing fee are available with 10 days cancellation notice. Tuition for workshops cancelled by the Clay Center will be refunded in full. Please call CCC office for lodging info.
