Lisa Orr - April 26th & 27th 2008 Hands-on & Demonstration Workshop Lisa Orr (Austin TX) will lead an intense, two-day, hands-on workshop covering her forming and surface treatment techniques. Orr utilizes bisque molds; participants will observe several demonstrations, try molds, and will learn how to prepare their own molds for later firing. Student molds can also be utilized dry. Other processes covered will be various slip and sprig decorating methods. Lisa will lead discussions on earthenware topics and share glaze recipes. www.lisaorr.com

Joe Brecha May 3rd & 4th 2008 / Foil Saggar & Naked Raku / Hands-on & Demonstration Workshop Joe Brecha of Clay Art Center (Tacoma WA) returns to CCC by popular demand. This is a fun, hands-on workshop exploring alternative raku firing processes, terra sigillata applications, burnishing, as well as several other surface design techniques. Participants should anticipate a weekend of surprising, beautiful results and will take home a wealth of practical knowledge for future creations.
