Welcome K and Sarah

After conducting a thorough and deliberate search for an individual to handle the administrative responsibilities of the Clay Center, Sarah and K emerged as the most qualified candidates at this juncture. Proposing to split the responsibilities between the two of them based upon their expertise and qualifications dove-tailed into what the board was looking for in a new administration. As former board members both Sarah and K have been acting in a voluntary capacity until a search could be conducted. Both are ceramic artists and have been passionate and dedicated supporters of the Carbondale Clay Center as well as other valley organizations. Sarah brings a strong business background and will become the Administrative Director responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the center. K has an MFA in ceramics and extensive background as an artist, curator and educator. Her role will be that of Artist Director responsible for administrating the ceramics courses and visiting artist workshops as well as curatorial duties for the CCC gallery and artist exhibitions at the Clay Center
